Launching the 2025 cohort - a new phase for the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 NQMT Development Scheme
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 is pleased to announce that the NQMT Development Scheme will launch a new cohort for January 2025, continuing the scheme outside of its initial pilot phase. The application process for mentees will open in September 2024, with mentor applications open from October 2024. The scheme is open to all newly qualified Music Therapists to support them in the transition from training to professional practice in the first two years of HCPC registration.
It up-skills and nurtures Music Therapists in order to build the best foundations for a successful career. This fully funded programme provides a combination of specialist CPD lectures for the cohort as well as group mentoring, co-ordinated by an experienced Music Therapist. Year 2 of the programme has part-peer led CPD sessions and bi-monthly group mentoring.

The challenges facing newly qualified Music Therapists continuously change, and given that co-production is at the heart of this scheme it means that it can constantly evolve to best support the future of our profession. I am grateful to all those involved in the pilot phase of the scheme as the continuation of this project is a testimony to the hard work and contributions of many."
